Between 1933 and 1945, the Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda was a prestigious and influential branch of the German government. Accomplished writers and artists contributed to its work, employing every existing medium of communication. Academics, journalists, and illustrators in Germany and Occupied Europe supplemented their efforts. Only a small fraction of their production is seen here.
